De Bonte Group produces REBLOC® Concrete Barriers – in Belgium. After all, REBLOC® is the specialist for innovative collision protection systems made from precast concrete elements whether they have integrated noise pannels or not.

REBLOC® concrete safety barriers are tested and approved in accordance with standard EN 1317. The noise barrier guide constructions are additionally tested for noise protection according to EN 1793. These safety products have also been retested in Belgium and bear the BENOR quality certificate.

Why choose the REBLOC® range?

A top-grade and robust safety bump strip

All basic types are tested as per EN1317 for all possible applications: from temporary to permanent.

Competitive pricing

As production takes place in Belgium, we have many REBLOC® types in stock and always at the best price. If required, De Bonte Group can relieve the client of all his worries thanks to its own local installation services.

Smart design

Thanks to the patented clamping system, integrated in the safety barriers, installation is easy and does not require any additional handling or parts. The symmetrically positioned fixed clamp also avoids errors during installation, as well as loss of components at a later date.

Complete range

REBLOC® Concrete Barriers include a wide range of safety barriers, complemented by a variety of project solutions (simulated according to EN 1317).

Frequently asked questions

• Do end caps exist?

Terminal elements or transition pieces to the other models or related systems exist for each type of safety barrier. On our guide structures up to 80cm high, you can even connect in line with EN1317/5 without an additional terminal.

• Are transition pieces to other systems available?

De Bonte Group already simulated with the REBLOC® Safety Barriers concrete transitions to the most common systems in the current Belgian market. The successful simulation between our systems and the in-situ barriers poured on site means we know perfectly how they perform and will behave in the event of a collision.

• Does De Bonte Group also install anchoring?

Within our REBLOC® range, De Bonte Group always takes care of the installation so that everything is done as per regulations and the right placement instructions. Anchoring is can easily be done by the contractor but De Bonte Group will also offer a solution for this when needed.

• Are measurement results available for sound barriers?

Measurement results are available and should be submitted to the client.

• Can your system for sound barrier be combined with other materials?

The REBLOC® sound barrier consists of a concrete Jersey with HEA profiles. The profiles can then be simply placed on our Jersey barrier in the classic way, analogous to how they would be placed if no concrete Jersey were present.

The REBLOC® H2 system combined with sound barrier consists of a 1m high Jersey and a 1m high sound panel made of wood fibre concrete, with the remaining 2.5m built up in a material of your choice. For our H4b system, a 1.5m-high Jersey should always be installed in combination with a 1m-high wood-fibre concrete sound panel. The remaining 4m can be constructed from a material of your choice. De Bonte Group will also support you in calculations regarding tipping hazard under wind loads specific to your conditions.

• Can elements be made to length as a fitted piece?

Certainly, in the design phase, De Bonte Group will always ask you to provide a DWG file. At this stage, we prepare drawings, which need to be approved by the management/contractor. During this phase, De Bonte Group also considers whether or not fitted pieces will be needed. These are also produced locally and quickly.

• Can permanent elements also be used in advance as temporary ones?

At a time of such high fuel prices and when ecological thinking is increasingly important, it becomes all the more important to use temporary barriers as a permanent system later on. This is to minimise the supply and removal of guide structures. REBLOC® therefore tested many of their REBLOC® systems at T3 level and released them under their range Switch. A great overview (including Technical Sheets) can be found via following link: https://www.rebloc.com/en/switch-temporary-permanent/.

• What do I need to know before the right impact barriers can be chosen for my project?

The 4 main parameters to determine the type of guide structure are: The retaining capacity, the operating width, the vehicle slope and the surface on which they are eventually placed.  At De Bonte Group, you can always ask for advice during the preliminary design if you are in doubt when determining one of these 4 parameters. Based on the Dutch handbook ‘Vademecum vergevingsgezinde wegen (VVW) part motorised traffic’ and the existing solution, we will then determine with you the optimal solution for your particular situation.

• Are there any tunnel elements?

The ultimate goal in existing or yet-to-be-designed tunnels is that you always want to use as much width as possible. To provide a solution to this, REBLOC® tested a very slim model that, in conjunction with the tunnel wall, passed a perfect crash test at H2 level. More info can be found via following link: https://www.rebloc.com/en/eco-permanent/. You will then find the info under “Free standing system in front of rigid wall” and the Technical Sheet “RB80XW_8_H2/W1”.

• Are transitions to steel guardrails also available?

De Bonte Group is in close contact with suppliers of steel guardrails so that the steel-concrete transitions already approved by COPRO can be applied to the wide range of systems. In addition, De Bonte Group continues to innovate for additional transitions to steel crash barriers in order to be able to offer a wider range of solutions within the Belgian market in the future.

• Does De Bonte Group also install the REBLOC® elements?

De Bonte Group has 2 in-house installation teams with the appropriate equipment. Moreover, De Bonte Group is fully preparing for the imminent requirement regarding the new performance certification of safety barriers as per PTV8004-1.

Guide constructions for safety

For our customer Soga, we supplied solid guide constructions with a height of up to 120 cm and the accompanying end elements. With the characteristic H4n/W5, our system is the perfect solution to separate the busy RO from the adjoining passageway for pedestrians, cyclist & riders. De Bonte values quality and safety at all times. We are pleased to offer a solution to the vulnerable road users who have to pass the Hertenlaan. Did you know that the Roads & traffic Agency in Flandres (Agentschap Wegen & Verkeer renewed the entire ecopassage within the framework OZON (Defragmentation of the Zoniënwoud/Forêt de Soignes), an European life+ project.
